Demolition subsidy

The demolition of an ARA-constructed rental building may be subsidised by government funds. The building to be demolished must be subject to a usage or handover limitation or freed from limitations. A demolition authorisation granted by ARA or equivalent conditions, if the limitations are no longer valid, is a prerequisite for granting the subsidy.

In order to be granted a demolition subsidy, the owner of the rental building must be in considerable financial difficulties, which have persisted for a lengthy period of time and jeopardise the finances of the entire corporation. The owner must be unable to cover all of the costs incurred from demolition. The maximum amount of the subsidy is 70 % of demolition costs.
