ARA is part of the administrative branch of Finland´s Ministry of the Environment. ARA is governed by board of directors designated by The Finnish Government. ARA employs about 80 people.
ARA is lead by Director General Hannu Rossilahti.
Organization structure
ARA's organization comprises of Management (director general Rossilahti and director Jarmo Lindén) and four operational service units:
Financing
Grants loans and subsidies to organizations, and repair subsidies for housing companies and citizens.
Head of services: deputy director Heli Huuhka.
Housing development and information services
Develops better ARA living and provides information services related to housing.
Head of services: deputy director Hanna Dhalmann.
Monitoring and control services
Guides and controls the use of ARA homes and the implementation of affordable housing policy.
Head of services:control manager Hanne Vikström.
General services
Supports the prerequisites for the agency service functions in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
Head of services: administrative manager Kimmo Huovinen.
