www.ara.fi is the online service of The Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland  (ARA). The ARA´s responsibilities include state-subsidized housing loans (arava loans) and a number of other types of assistance.

The main subject areas of the service are Loans, Grants and Guarantees, Quality and Costs, Funding, ARA and Organisation, Housing Market, Library, and ARA Links.

Finding information in the service

You can find information in the service by browsing the above subject areas or by using the search function. The search function in the upper bar is a free text search. You can limit the search to page files, page content or key words using the advanced search. The link path shows the location of the current page in the service. You can move around in the service using the link path

The website comprises three columns. The main subject areas are in the left-hand column; a mouse-click takes you to the levels below the subject areas. The content of the subject area selected is visible in the middle of the page. The right-hand column shows Related Topics and Related Links as required. Under Related Topics there are links to elsewhere in the www.ara.fi service, and under Related Links there are links to other online services. There may also be links in the right-hand column to www.ara.fi pages that contain more detailed information on the subject of the page.

For printing out, you can use the printer-friendly version, which is under Versions at the bottom of the page. This version contains the contents of the middle column only.

You can link to the ara.fi service freely, as long as you mention the source. The Housing Board of Finland or the photographer retains the rights to photos.
